About the Artist
Perched on a hilltop in Victorian Bellefonte with my beagle, I’m a biologist, educator, and administrator turned artist-entrepreneur—rebuilding a life through creativity, humor, and a love of the beautifully odd.
Art has always been my way through. As a kid, often sick and stuck inside, I made things to find comfort, escape, and control. That instinct returned in adulthood during a season of reinvention—when I needed something grounding and joyful.
That’s where the chickens came in—specifically, the wonderfully bizarre Polish chickens. With their wild “hair” and unapologetic weirdness, they reminded me to embrace the funny little things in life.
I also come from a line of bold energy and big heart. My mother—a serial entrepreneur and sales dynamo who never quite fit the mold—showed me how to create your own path while leading with kindness. This work carries her spirit.
Now, I create whimsical, folk-art-inspired pieces designed to feed happiness. Every design begins in my studio; some remain one-of-a-kind, while others are reproduced with expert partners so I can share the joy more widely from my 800 sq ft perch.
From tiny trinkets to statement prints, each piece carries a story, a little humor, and a lot of heart.
Someday, I hope this art pays the bills. But even now, it’s already doing something just as important: helping me rebuild, reimagine, and lean all the way into the fun of it.
